New Camera = RAW textures

Friday, May 16th, 2008

I bought a Canon 40D DSLR which means I can finally say goodbye to the point-and-shoot Sony DSC-H5 I’ve been using. It was a great camera, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking to get into photography (some of those photos came out better than some photos I’ve seen from DSLRs). I can begin providing much higher quality textures AND in RAW format. I think many of you who are using my textures will appreciate the new flexibility of RAW. You should also notice less noise and blur by far.

New Textures… finally!

Friday, May 16th, 2008

I was finally able to get to posting the new textures! You can find them at the end of each category on the High-Resolution Textures page. Here’s a preview of a few of the new ones:

Enjoy, and as always, feel free to use them on your site or project.

New High-Res Textures

Thursday, January 10th, 2008

I’ve posted around 30 new high-resolution textures to the High-Resolution Textures page. Hopefully you can use them for whatever projects you might be working on, whether they are for Maya in 3D, Photoshop experiments, wallpaper, reference, flash games, etc. Have fun with them — Remember; Free to use for commercial and non-commercial uses, just don’t sell them outright on any CDs or photo sites, please. I won’t be too happy.

If you have any special requests for textures, drop me a comment. I might be able to get one together.

High-Resolution Textures

Friday, April 13th, 2007

I’ve posted up an initial batch of high-resolution (3072×2304) textures that can be used for various projects which I took in February - they are free to use. I’ve added in the typical stone, asphalt, wood, metal, etc. I’ve also added in some pipes/drains. I plan on posting a second batch soon. View Textures.
