A few months ago I attended Hawk Watch 2009 (a few times in fact), which is a short event put on by the Wildlife Research Institute, during the late winter months, after of which they are back to their usual work tagging hawks, caring for them and working with various entities to improve the safety for these birds and their habitats. I took some photos which, it’s my hope, you’ll be able to see some of the beauty I witnessed in person. I think the below photos tell the story of the operation.
