Las Vegas Photos

Last August I went to Las Vegas to attend SOE’s Fan Faire while on vacation. It was really my second visit to the city and I had a blast. I am heading out that way again next month, so this is great timing to show these photos off of my old camera, versus what I’ll be placing up in about a month from now.

Stay tuned for my Alcatraz photos in the next few days!

Nice photographs. I’ve been to Vegas twice, myself, and find it to be be both irritating and interesting at the same time… weird place for sure.

  2. Jacob Says:

Yeah, it definitely is! It’s a diverse city indeed.

Wow… loved the photos (and this comes from someone who has lived here over 15 years).

The world is full of zillions of photos of basic Las Vegas landmarks. But… you really zoomed in and got the detail of the artistry that went into the creation of the many Las Vegas “mega-resorts.”

Even a long-time Las Vegas tourism guy like myself (who is exposed to all this on a regular basis) found something new in each photo.

    Thanks again for the post.

Thanks, Ted! I’m always trying to go for a shot that is unique and not typically taken by others ;) I appreciate the feedback and encouragement. By the way, I like your site! Great blog — I’m going to read through the tips before I head out to Vegas again next month for another vacation/Fan Faire combo.

When you were last in Vegas, Jacob my brother,
did you chance to eat at any of Bobby Flay’s establishments?

I’ve never been to Vegas, but I lived in Orlando for 15 years,
so I guess I’ve seen the next best thing…

Heh. Well, there’s always Dubai. =D

    Hey man! Long time ;)

No I haven’t been to any of his restaurants — I just looked him up and it looks like it’s the Mesa Grill at Caesar’s Palace. Any good? I might just have to check it out next week!

Like I said, I’ve never been to Vegas, but Chef Flay
is a big food virtuoso on the Food Network right now,
and he looks like he can do things with food which defy description…

I think you’ll really enjoy his place.
    I’d give it a hearty recommendation…

If you do go, let me know how it was.

And to think, you used to envy me for actually having dual Voodoo2s
in my PC…boy, times sure have changed, haven’t they? ;)
