My wife works at a rescue organization for cats and dogs. I helped them out a bit on Saturday and also had a bit of time to take some photos while I was there. It was a lot of fun and not at all planned for, I was planning on doing some scenic shots in town. I saved my favorite photo for the last. Kittens are a lot of fun for portrait shooting

My sister had been asking me to make a new design for her for some time now, so I finally spent a few hours last week to bust it out for her. She wanted it to be a blog, so it was a snap to wrap up after a few snags (she had no database, doh). It uses a photo by her friend Brian Hess, who is an awesome photographer. It was easy to make that photo look good on her site. I made a few other color palettes that I actually liked much better than this one since this felt too much like a photo site, but I am still pretty happy with how it turned out.
