Game-related web freelance projects

Monday, March 19th, 2007

I have some upcoming projects that I am looking to outsource to some reliable and of course, reasonable, freelancers. These are fun projects, geared towards the game industry (none of that boring crapola, only beautimous stuff!). If any of you are interested, drop me an email at jacob@darknews.com with a link to your portfolio and standard rate (if possible).

I am looking for individuals that possess any or all of the following skill sets:

- Web site layout & design
- Illustration
- Flash design
- Flash development
- Web Development (slicing art into HTML, Javascript, DHTML, etc.)

I am only interested in freelancers/one-man shops. :)

New Web Conference coming in May

Wednesday, March 14th, 2007

Lynda.com — responsible for the great Flash Forward Conferences — is launching a new conference called Dx3, which runs between May 15th through 18th in Boston, MA. The conference is focused much more on IA, Processes, User Experience, Design, Development and even multimedia applications. The conference includes many how-to workshops and sessions, in the same breed as the Flash Forward Conferences, which sounds very cool. I’d probably be attending if it wasn’t only a few months away and in Boston… Why Boston, peeps? :)
