I’ve noticed there are some studios and designers out there not yet using On2’s 2-pass VP6 codec. This is the best codec for encoding FLVs that I have seen out there, and the price is decent for what you’re getting out of it - higher quality video at a reduced file size? Can’t beat that…

I’ve found that the best combination is to get Sorenson Squeeze for Flash (est. $199) and purchase the codec separately (another $199). However, if you don’t care about having that many advanced options, you can purchase On2 Flix Pro? for $249 which includes the codec and save a bit of cash for that PlayStation 3 - Jacob
